20th World Petroleum Congress steps up its regional marketing campaign at GEO Bahrain |
Bahrain.- The 20th World Petroleum Congress (WPC), to be held in Doha 4-8 December 2011, marked its presence at this week's GEO Bahrain with the release of its Congress brochure and news that 20 major sponsors have confirmed their interest and almost 50% of available exhibition space has already been taken just a few weeks into the event's promotional campaign.

GEO Bahrain is one of more than 50 international events that will be attended by the organizing committee promoting the 20th WPC.
The 20th WPC promotion team is attending GEO Bahrain as part of the Qatar Petroleum stand. Qatar Petroleum is the host sponsor of the 20th WPC. In its 74-year history, this is the first time that the World Petroleum Congress is being hosted in the Middle East.
The exhibition accompanying the 20WPC is expected to cover 35,000 square meters, surpassing the previous WPC event in Madrid in 2008 by 20%, and making it the largest WPC exhibition in history.
Companies that have already confirmed their participation at the exhibition include BP, Dolphin Energy, Conocophillips, Weatherford, GAC World, Chiyoda, and the Polish Oil & Gas Company.
The 20th World Petroleum Congress will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). Opening in 2011, QNCC will boast an iconic design and cutting edge facilities in a green technology venue. It is
the first facility of its kind being built to the gold certification of U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED). |
